David LeGault is a writer and collector from Michigan's Upper Peninsula. He was a spelling bee champion as well as his high school valedictorian before going on to become a licensed fork lift operator and a member of the United Steelworkers Union. He went on to receive his MFA in Creative Nonfiction from the University of Minnesota. Soon after, he began destroying books professionally at a used book store in a Minneapolis suburb, where he honed his skills as a collector.

Currently, David lives in Prague with his family, where he is working on several different books, as well as designing a narrative-based board game.
